Faculty Exchange Program
EduXTech in association with Industry and Universities globally offers a faculty exchange program that provides participants with the opportunity to get exposure to industry and/or teach and/or conduct research for one semester or an academic year at an overseas industry or university.
No prerequisites exist for participation, but all parties involved must complete an application which describes their research interests and which course/s they might want to teach or lecture they might provide on the host campus.
EduXTech will act as a facilitator in the exchange program, matching faculty members with campuses that can accommodate their interests.
To ensure that the exchange runs smoothly it is important to understand the responsibilities for each Participant and the Foreign University. The outline that follows will provide a summary of these obligations between the parties.
EduXTech
- Will invite applications from interested faculty/colleges/institutions, and individuals, and collect information, such as area of academic interest or need and location.
- Will work with partner institutions overseas to obtain a visa for the outbound professor/scholar.
- Will provide cost and other pre-departure information to the faculty visitors.
The Host Institution
Three basic schemes may define the nature of the faculty exchange and the responsibilities of the visiting faculty member. Combinations of all three are possible as arranged in each individual case. Different costs apply for each scheme.
In all cases, if the host institution can provide visiting scholar funding, EduXTech hope that this option would be given to the visiting professors but not guaranteed unless and until it is in writing.
